  • Rocket Engine Specific Impulse Program
    Specific Impulse (Isp) is a measure of the “fuel efficiency” of a rocket. The necessary thermodynamic calculations for Isp are performed by a package of text based programs and files which run on MS-DOS or Windows based personal computers.

    The Grain Design Programs (GDP) are software packages to design rocket motors and other gas generating devices. Capable of calculating ALL 2-D designs, like star, moonburner, bates, etc. Grains which can not be treated analytically, are treated graphically.This demo is fully functional. Note however that all output results are multiplied by a random factor varying between 0.1 and 10 !!



  • Burnsim
    BurnSim is solid propellant rocket motor performance prediction software. In a nutshell, input your motor design and propellant characteristics and BurnSim calculates the Kn through the burn and predicts estimated chamber pressure and motor performance. by Greg Deputy

    Aerolab estimates Drag, Lift and Center of Pressure for rockets flying at velocities up to 8 Mach. It also estimates the rockets Center of Gravity and Moments of Inertia and performs stability analysis within the entire velocity range.

  • VCP - Author: Gary Crowell:Visual Center of Pressure: a software tool for doing Barrowman and extended Barrowman calculations for model/experimental rocket.
    VCP is a Barrowman CP/CG stability calculator for Windows using spreadsheet style operation for easy looks at what-if tradeoffs when designing rockets. Graphic display ensures data entry accuracy. Visit the
    XFOIL is an interactive program for the design and analysis of subsonic isolated airfoils.

  • MicroTunnel. Author: Axel Rohde, MicroCFD
    MicroTunnel analyzes 2-D subsonic, transonic, and supersonic flow (Mach 0.1 to 3.0) over multi-element configurations on a raster type Cartesian mesh. Flow visualization is provided through color contour plots of local Mach number, density, pressure, and temperature, including streamline plots. Shock waves are easily captured!
