Basic Missions

All participating teams are expected to design and build within the boundaries specified as the least and best scenarios provided in this appendix. A maximum of %25 deviation from limits described here is acceptable:

 

1)  Payload at C.G position: Least case:  2 kg;   Best  case: 5 kg

2)  Payload at most forward or aft of C.G position: Least case:  1 kg;   Best  case: 3 kg

3)   Type of engine/fuel  : either electrical / aviation gasoline / diesel

4)   Number of engines : maximum of 2

5)   Type of Installation :  arbitrary

6)  Operation Radius : Worst case 4000 m; Best Case : 12000m

7)  Operating field for take-off & landing : 20 meter radius

8)    Condition : ISA+20 @ winds up to 10 km/h

9)    Endurance : Least : 30 min;  Best : 60 min

 

10) Cruise Speed : Least : 60 km/h;  Best : 120 km/h

11)  Operational ceiling : 50 m to 3000 m AGL

12)  Must have Fueling and Fuel draining capabilities

13)  Must be handled by maximum of 2 men

14)  Must be assembled with normal tools

15)  Must be recovered in case of loosing power

16)  Must be repairable
